Clean UP Terms of Service
These Terms of Service apply to residential cleaning services provided by Clean Up. By confirming a cleaning appointment, the client agrees to these Terms of Service.
1. Booking and ConfirmationA cleaning appointment is considered confirmed when the client agrees to the date, time, cleaning service, and estimated price through text message or other written communication with Clean Up.
Clean Up may send a confirmation message approximately one day before the scheduled cleaning.
2. Cleaning Estimates and PricingThe cleaning price is estimated based on the information provided by the client, including the size and condition of the home and the type of cleaning requested.
If, upon arrival, the actual condition of the property or amount of work is significantly different from the information originally provided, Clean Up may adjust the price before the cleaning begins.
Any price change will be discussed with the client in advance. Cleaning will begin only after the client agrees to the revised price.
If the client does not agree to the revised price, Clean Up may decline to perform the service.
3. Cancellation and ReschedulingClients should provide at least
24 hours’ notice if they need to cancel or reschedule a cleaning appointment.
Cancellations made on the same day as the scheduled cleaning are subject to a
$50 cancellation fee.
4. Access to the PropertyThe client is responsible for providing safe and reliable access to the property at the scheduled time.
If the client will not be home, access may be provided through a lockbox code, garage code, key, or another agreed-upon method.
Clean Up is not responsible for delays or inability to perform the cleaning when access to the property has not been properly provided.
5. PetsPets are welcome; however, the client is responsible for ensuring that pets do not create an unsafe or disruptive environment for the cleaning team.
Aggressive, anxious, or disruptive animals should be secured in a separate room or another safe area during the cleaning.
The client is responsible for providing a safe working environment for Clean Up staff.
6. Valuables and Personal ItemsClients are encouraged to securely store cash, jewelry, important documents, fragile items, and other valuable belongings before the cleaning appointment.
Clean Up is not responsible for the loss of unsecured cash, jewelry, documents, or other valuables left in accessible areas.
7. Existing Damage and Fragile ItemsClean Up is not responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing defects, loose fixtures, unstable shelves, improperly installed items, worn or damaged surfaces, or other conditions that existed before the cleaning.
For example, if a shelf, fixture, decoration, or other item is loose or improperly secured and becomes damaged during normal cleaning, Clean Up may not be responsible for that damage.
Clients should inform Clean Up in advance about particularly fragile, damaged, or unstable items.
8. Accidental DamageIf the client believes that damage occurred as a result of the cleaning service, the client must notify Clean Up within
24 hours of the completion of the cleaning.
Please provide photographs and a description of the issue.
Clean Up will review the circumstances and determine the appropriate resolution based on the specific situation.
9. Cleaning Quality ConcernsIf the client is not satisfied with an area that was cleaned, the client should contact Clean Up within
24 hours and provide photographs showing the concern.
Clean Up will review the photographs and circumstances.
If the issue is determined to be related to an area that was missed or not properly cleaned, Clean Up may arrange to correct the issue.
Clean Up is not responsible for conditions that cannot reasonably be corrected through standard cleaning.
10. Stains, Discoloration, Mold, and Permanent DamageClean Up does not guarantee the removal of permanent or deeply embedded stains, discoloration, scratches, mold, mineral buildup, rust, damaged finishes, or other conditions that cannot reasonably be removed through normal cleaning methods.
Some stains or marks may remain even after proper cleaning.
11. Additional ServicesServices that are not included in the originally agreed cleaning may be added upon request, subject to availability.
Additional services, including services such as interior oven cleaning, refrigerator cleaning, interior window cleaning, or other extras, may require an additional fee.
The price for additional work will be discussed and agreed upon before the additional service is performed.
12. PaymentPayment is due after the cleaning is completed and must be made
by the end of the same day.

13. Scope of ServiceClean Up will perform the cleaning services agreed upon with the client.
Certain services are not included unless specifically agreed upon in advance. Service descriptions and exclusions may also be listed on the Clean Up website.
14. SafetyClean Up reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if the property contains unsafe conditions, hazardous materials, aggressive animals, biohazards, or any other situation that may put the cleaning team at risk.
15. Limitation of ResponsibilityClean Up will make reasonable efforts to provide professional and careful cleaning services.
However, Clean Up is not responsible for normal wear and tear, pre-existing damage, improperly installed or unsecured items, permanent stains, surface deterioration, or conditions beyond the reasonable control of the cleaning team.
16. Changes to These TermsClean Up may update these Terms of Service from time to time.
Any updated Terms will be posted on the website with a revised effective date.
17. Governing LawThese Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
